The challenges we face today run the gamut from substance abuse epidemics to budget bloating. We need the right state responses to these problems, but we need even more a vision of hope and a will to build our home state into a place of ambition, safety and meaning.
The path to that hope is rooted in our civil freedoms and founding documents.
Looking back gives us both a solid foundation and guardrails as we look forward.
